Managing Electrical Engineer
Under general direction, performs supervisory and administrative professional electrical engineering work in directing the activities of a major work section of the District.
Absolute Requirement:Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois; however, for a candidate with registration as a Professional Engineer in another state, registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois must be obtained prior to appointment. Minimum Requirements: Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university majoring in chemical, civil, electrical, environmental, mechanical, sanitary or structural engineering and eight years of full-time, post-degree electrical engineering experience. Four years of this experience must have been in work related to the District's activities, including one year of design or maintenance experience relating to computer process control of wastewater collection and treatment systems. Three years of this experience must have been in the supervision of degreed engineers and one year must have been in an administrative capacity. Substitution: Full-time graduate study in electrical engineering may be substituted for the required non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.

Civil service status in one of the foregoing classes.
