Electrical Instrument/Testing Mechanic Leadman
Under supervision, performs skilled manual work in the repair and maintenance of plant process control equipment, power distribution systems, voice and data communication networks, including telemetry, and directs the work of assigned Electrical Instrument and Testing Mechanics.
Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent and five years of experience in the repair and calibration of electronic process instrumentation. Substitution: Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Each completed course, or recognized formal training program, in process instrumentation may be substituted for four months of the required experience. Completion of two years of college level course work in process instrumentation at a recognized college, junior college or technical vocational school may be substituted for two years of experience.
One year of service with the District as an Electrical Instrument and Testing Mechanic and civil service status in that class.
