Diversity Officer
Under direction, assists in the implementation of the Board of Commissioners Affirmative Action policies involving construction grant programs and purchasing processes, to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and District Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity laws, regulations, and requirements.
Absolute Requirement: Possession of a valid driver’s license. Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university majoring in business or public administration or a field involving the review of affirmative action programs for compliance with state and federal regulations. Substitution: Experience in monitoring and reviewing affirmative action programs for compliance with state and federal regulations may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Absolute Requirement: Possession of a valid driver’s license. Possession of a bachelor's degree in the appropriate academic specialty. An appropriate academic speciality is interpreted to mean a degree in business or public administration or a field involving the review of affirmative action programs for compliance with state and federal regulations from a four-year accredited college or university. One year of service with the District as a Senior Administrative Specialist, Secretary, Human Resources Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Investigator, or Legal Assistant; or two years of such service as an Administrative Specialist. Civil service status in one of the foregoing classes.
