Diversity Officer
Under direction, assists in the implementation of the District's Affirmative Action policies to ensure compliance with Federal, State and District Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity laws, regulations and requirements.
Absolute Requirement: Possession of a valid driver’s license. Minimum Requirements: Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university majoring in business or public administration or a field involving the review of affirmative action programs for compliance with state and federal regulations. Substitution: Experience in monitoring and reviewing affirmative action programs for compliance with state and federal regulations may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Absolute Requirement: Possession of a valid driver’s license. Promotional Requirements: Possession of a bachelor's degree in an appropriate academic specialty. An appropriate academic specialty is interpreted to mean a degree in business or public administration or a field involving the review of affirmative action programs for compliance with state and federal regulations from a four-year accredited college or university. One year of service with the District as a Senior Administrative Specialist, Secretary, Human Resources Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Investigator, or Legal Assistant; or two years of such service as an Administrative Specialist. Civil service status in one of the foregoing classes.
