Chief Printing Press Operator
Under general supervision, directs and participates in the work of the reproduction unit using offset presses and related equipment.
Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent and four years of experience in offset lithography, including two years of experience in the operation of high speed xerographic equipment. Substitution: Additional experience in the operation of multilith offset presses and auxiliary equipment may be substituted for the high school education on a year-for-year basis. Technical training beyond
high school in offset printing may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
One year of service with the District as a Printing Press Operator II or two years of service with the District as a Printing Press Operator I. Civil service status in one of the foregoing classes.
