Assistant Treasurer
Assists the Treasurer in the management of the Treasury Department and its employees in all functions; oversees daily activities; plans and implements ongoing development of Treasury Department computer systems and programs to enhance cash management and control, debt service activities, and periodic District bond financing; serves for the Treasurer as his representative and in his absence and performs such special assignments as directed by the Treasurer from time to time.
Graduation from a four year accredited college or university majoring in accounting, finance, or business administration. Seven years of experience in finance or accounting, of which three years must have included responsibility for cash management and control in a corporate, governmental or not-for-profit setting, and one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. Substitution: Graduate study in accounting, finance or business administration may be substituted for the non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
