Quality Assurance Coordinator
Under general supervision, coordinates quality assurance and quality control methodologies for analysis of water, wastewater, and sludge; and develops and implements protocols for instrumentation, methodology, sampling procedures, and data handling; recommends specifications for the purchase of major instrumentation systems; and establishes effective service life for major instrumentation systems.
Bachelor's degree in analytical chemistry, environmental engineering, or a closely related field. Five years of experience in the laboratory analysis of water, wastewater or sludge. Two years of this experience must have included, as a principal duty, the coordination of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities involving the application of statistical methods to the validation of analytical laboratory data. Substitution: Additional full time graduate study beyond the bachelor's degree in one of the specified fields may be substituted for the non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.
