Instrumentation Chemist IV
Under general direction, is responsible for research work involving analytical methodology and instrumentation; supervises the development of specialized analytical techniques, instrument evaluation and review of analytical methodologies in a chemical environmental laboratory for water and wastewater.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Ph.D. degree majoring in chemistry or a closely related field. Four years of full-time professional work experience in the environmental field (including wastewater and sludge analysis, GC/MS data interpretation., and application of U.S. EPA protocol), of which three years must have been in a supervisory capacity and two years must have involved supervision of other chemists. Substitution: Related post-graduate work above the doctoral level may be substituted for up to two years of non-supervisory experience.
One year of service with the District as an Instrumentation Chemist III. Civil service status as an Instrumentation Chemist III.
