Instrumentation Chemist III
Under direction, performs professional research work of an advanced nature involving analytical methodology and instrumentation in a chemical environmental laboratory for water and wastewater.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Ph.D. degree majoring in chemistry or a closely related field. Three years of full-time professional work in an analytical laboratory performing GC/MS analysis according to U.S EPA methods and protocol for priority pollutants in wastewater and sludge, of which two years must have been in a supervisory capacity. Substitution: Related postgraduate work above the doctoral level may be substituted for one year of non-supervisory experience.
One year of service with the District as an Instrumentation Chemist II. Civil Service status as an Instrumentation Chemist II.
